Facts of Funding:

What good is any of this?

I had the same question ten years ago when I entered the program at Christian Love Ministries.  I had never known God as God truly is.  The transformation in my life from selfless giving, offering, guidance and support has made me a lifelong supporter of the program at Christian Love.  Besides volunteering hundreds of hours behind the main reception desk as a weekend volunteer, I've spent hundreds more hours and dollars creating a web presence spanning multiple hosts, web affiliates, technologies and learning experiences so that the words, the spirit, the vibe, wisdom, strength and power of God's Love might find different, wider avenues to travel on the road to meet some random person- some drug addicted, worthless bon à rien with alcohol pouring out of his pours.  My skills  pay a fair amount more an hour NOT working on this site, but the gift of giving and the hope for healing some other as I was so undeservedly keeps me here 15 to 20% of my online time.

 

Donations to the ministries are tax deductible, whether they be donations to the Market Place, Sponsorship of a Student at Christian Love, or a kind financial contribution.  You cannot imagine how far the ministry can make a dollar go, but please keep in mind, the ministry must also come up with roughly $550,000 every year- that number increasing annually- just to be able to continue helping addicts and alcoholics.

Your Deeds are Our Needs!

Current Household Needs:

• Toilet Tissue, Kleenex, Paper Towels, Dish Soap, Laundry Detergent
• Whole, 2%, and some Skim Milk / Cereal / Pop-Tarts / Muffins / Butter or Spread
• Vege and Olive Oils / PAM / Aluminum Foil / Clear-Wrap
• Bleach / 409 / Windex
• Lunch meats (frozen or fresh) / Casseroles (for 24 people) / Desserts / Fruits
• Inexpensive phone cards for students with no money to call home
• Blankets for Single Beds / Sheets
• Pillows / Pillow cases
• Matching Bed Spreads (21 for men and 16 for women)
• Pots and Pans - they get worn out fast in a place like CLM
• Wash Cloths and Chamois rags / Sponges
• Dish soap
• Bowls, Glasses and plates.. Matching sets are wonderful, but not necessary.
• Towels for dishes, bathing and baptisms

Special Needs:

• New carpet in the Men's facility

• New windows for Father's House, as the old ones are 16 years old and furthermore the money that could be saved by having more efficient windows is significant.

• 2 new copy machines- one for the men, and one for the women. 

• Computers may be left at the Market Places.  Please consider that if they are junked computers, they need to be properly recycled.  The Market Place is not somewhere to dump trash! If you have a system or more than one you would like to donate, we have an IT professional who can erase you hard drives to Dept. of Defense standards as well as suggest where the best place to find a new system(s) would be.

• Please talk to your churches, clubs or social groups about supporting CLM financially.  We are experiencing truly rough circumstances regarding money.

 

Volunteer Opportunities:

 Lower your Income Tax Burden by Giving to Christian Love!  Being a 501(c) IRS Non-Profit Organization, your monetary and material gifts may be tax deductible.  Our Market Place Thrift stores do well to cover expenses for the ministry, yet without donors like you to fund the difference, many people suffering from the bondage of sin and addictions will remain captive, led by evil and may never have the opportunity to see just one ray of light, of hope for their futures that most of us know as God.  Please help us to share HIS message of Christian Love.
